Privacy policy

Oman Photo (“we”, “the studio”) operates omanphoto.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we use it, and your choices. We process data in line with applicable law in the Sultanate of Oman and good industry practice.

Data we collect

Contact & booking enquiries: name, phone, email, optional event date, service interest, and your message when you submit the contact form. Site assistant: messages you send to the chat widget and limited technical metadata (e.g. rate-limit counters). We do not intentionally log full chat transcripts for marketing. Technical data: standard server and analytics logs (IP address, browser type, pages viewed) and cookies used by Google AdSense / measurement tags when enabled.

How we use data

To respond to enquiries, prepare proposals, deliver commissions, improve the website, prevent abuse (rate limits), and—where you consent via your browser—show non-personalised or personalised ads through Google. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Third parties

We may share data with: hosting and email providers; Google (AdSense, Analytics / Ads tags if active); DeepSeek (site assistant replies only, when the assistant is enabled); Instagram / WhatsApp when you choose those channels. Each provider has its own privacy policy.

Retention & security

Enquiries are kept as long as needed for business records and then deleted or archived. We use HTTPS, access controls on admin systems, and hashed passwords for studio accounts. No method of transmission is 100% secure; contact us if you believe your data was compromised.

Your choices

You may request access, correction, or deletion of enquiry data by emailing [email protected]. You can disable cookies in your browser; ad personalisation can be managed via Google’s ad settings. The site assistant can be avoided by using the contact form instead.
